Technology Integration 101 – Explore
EXPLORE is the lesson strategy that is learner directed. Learners investigate, manipulate, and research subject areas, problems and situations, those activities represented in the guide, active learning, collaboration, problem based and role playing teaching methods. Again, the web and other technology resources are rich with information from site elements and organized sites that form the basis for this exploration. The Web and other technology resources are also rich with people who may be able to function as exploration partners.
Examples of Technology Integration with using the lesson strategy EXPLORE
– use databanks with students to explore relationships
– use data or simulations from organized sites to explore topic
– explore the topic with peers by chatting with others students about environmental issues they encounter
