Technology Integration 101 – Web-Based Teaching and Learning Resources

Remember when you were learning about animal classifications in elementary school . or the last time you taught that to your students? I remember being provided with a bunch of old nature magazines and asked to cut out pictures of different animals. dogs, cats, monkeys, snakes, bugs, fish, etc. Then we pasted the pictures onto different poster boards based on their classification as mammal, reptile, etc.

Remember sitting in a civics class and scouring the daily newspaper looking for stories on some current event? Or reading a book that described the time line of growth of things like the automobiles, medicines, and other inventions to learn about changes in our society?

Remember the guest chemist who came into the school and filled the auditorium with the smell of sulfur as a result of a cool little chemical reaction demonstration or the poet who came in a excitingly read her work to your class?

Well, the web can provide all of these resources, fairly easily.
