Now that you have had a fairly comprehensive view of the components of the WELES technology integration model you may be asking .. so, how does this work? How does it help me to integrate technology?

The model is a reflection tool that prompts you to think first or foremost about how and what you are teaching. Many educators who are just beginning to use technology more often in their classrooms begin by thinking about the technology itself… and ways they have seen others using it. These ways do not necessarily match the classroom practices that the educator is comfortable with and uses regularly. Thus educators often put their students on the computer to complete a tutorial, search for information, or develop a presentation. Certainly these can be good learning experiences.
